Herbal Medicine for the Soul Youth Summer Camp (ages 13-17)

Do you have a teen that loves all things natural and wellness-related? If you have that kid who's whipping up body butter, spritzing essential oils, and picking flowers and hugging trees, then have them join us this summer for our inaugural Herbal Medicine for the Soul Youth Summer Camp.

During our week together your teen will learn about several safe herbs that can be used daily to improve their mood, focus, nutrition, immunity, and energy. They'll be immersed in medicine-making, mindfulness exercises, reflection, movement, creative communication, visioning, and more.

Each day includes the following:

  • A wellness theme that highlights a different area of living an intentional life: nourishment, mindfulness, vision, community, and alignment
  • A plant of the day that they'll make tea with and learn about the plant's therapeutic and emotional benefits
  • An herbal medicine-making activity, such as making teas, infused oils, aura sprays, oxymels, and even food
  • Movement, group discussions, self-care workshops, and reflection exercises
  • Excursions include a local plant walk and a medicine tour of our very own Dekalb Farmers Market

Warning - Your teen may return home in a good mood, with a smile on their face, decreased attitude, and an increased willingness to listen and help out around the house. Worry not, the plants and practices have done their job. Sign up today, so that your teen will learn skills and cultivate practices they will take with them for their lifetime!
