Are Herb Shops Lucrative?

In today's short (and funny) video, we're answering a question that was submitted via email.

"I live in the state of MD, and currently have what the state calls a Cottage Business. Hubby and I are considering a tea shop with an apothecary. I am trying to do research and case studies to determine if it is worth the investment (getting space, maintaining operations etc). In your experience are apothecaries or herbal businesses lucrative, or sustainable?

This is a really important question because most people don't realize that having an apothecary is having more than one business in and of itself. Tune into our conversation as we shed some light on what an herbal business entails. Feel free to ask any follow-up questions in the comments, we'd love to keep the conversation flowing.

Lastly, we hope this video helps all of you aspiring herbalists and apothecary owners!

With joy,
Selima & Tami
